How to choose

ATGM336H — the low-cost default, widely used with JLC assembly.
Quectel L76K / u-blox class parts — better sensitivity, lower power tracking modes for battery devices.
Budget PCB area for the antenna: a clean ground plane and matched antenna matter more than the module choice.
